North Shore Dog of Danvers, MA is committed to providing a safe and fun environment for all dogs! Whether you are interested in daycare or boarding for your dog, our enrollment requirements are the same.
Basic Requirements:
- All dogs must be at least 3 months old
- All dogs over 7 months old must be either spayed or neutered (No exceptions)
- All dogs must be up to date on their Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Kennel Cough* vaccines
(We accept titers for Distemper/Parvo)
- All dogs must pass their evaluation/trial day
Evaluation and Trial Day
North Shore Dog is a highly social environment for dogs, and we do our best to insure good behavior. That is why we require an evaluation and trial day. Once you are sure that your dog meets our basic requirements, please call to schedule an appointment (weekdays only).
During the evaluation, our staff will introduce your dog to a few others of similar size and energy level. We will watch your dogs’ behavior with others, and also study how your dog responds to the direction of our staff. This process will take about 15 minutes.
If all goes well, we invite you to leave your dog for a trial day. This trial day gives your dog more time to settle in, and provides our staff an opportunity to study your dogs’ behavior more fully. There is no charge for this service, so we invite you to consider the benefits that North Shore Dog can provide!
*Kennel Cough – We require the bordatella/kennel cough vaccine once a year. If your dog has not had this vaccine, or if the vaccine has expired, it needs to be updated. There is a 2-week wait period after you get this vaccine before your dog can be evaluated or attend daycare/boarding at North Shore Dog. This is because it can take up to 14 days for the vaccine to become effective.
